TWG Capital was sourced through a “first-look” from a nationally recognized investment banking firm with whom Cardinal has an established relationship. TWG is a specialty finance company that serves the insurance industry. Since Cardinal’s investment, TWG has grown nearly twenty times its original size. Cardinal was instrumental in the creation of this growth by facilitating the following:

• Recruitment of Senior Management.

  Cardinal was directly involved in the recruitment of various industry leaders to the company’s management team, including the President and CFO.

• Information Systems.

  The Cardinal team worked closely with the management team on upgrading accounting and information systems.

• Financing Arrangements.

  Cardinal assisted TWG in raising over $225 million in capital. First, Cardinal raised $50 million from a network of Cardinal co-investors in a bridge financing facility to help the Company build its assets under management before permanent financing was put in place. Next, we arranged a $115 million permanent finance facility from two commercial lenders, a large hedge fund, and co-investors. In addition, Cardinal assisted in raising $60 million of capital from institutional investors to complete two significant wholesale transactions.

• Wholesale Acquisitions and Growth Strategy.

  The Cardinal team has been instrumental in assisting in the company's organic growth and wholesale acquisition strategies.
